Why do you women tie so much of your identity/value to getting/being married?

I'm not hating on marriage itself.

But It's crazy to see how many otherwise successful women I know who say and post things like "best day of my life" and other messages like they have achieved some major milestone accomplishment just by getting married.

Maybe you’re misunderstanding the context of their posts.

Perhaps they’re just still grateful for their spouse and still madly in love with their husbands?

eta: I’ve never seen a collective group of ppl who absolutely cannot be satisfied.

Women are shite if they put value in their marriage, if they’re divorced with kids, or if they’re successful and single by choice.

How ‘bout we just do away with all women and keep pitbulls ffs.

My cousin was down for a long time because she wasn't married with at least one kid by age 23. Weird AF

I'm not a woman, but I'd still have to say marrying my wife was definitely up there with one of the best days of my life, along with the births of my two children.

Most people are getting married to find their partner for life. It doesn't work out that way all the time, especially given the shitshow stories you read on this board.

A successful marriage is often the most significant thing most people will accomplish in their lifetimes. The wedding signifies the beginning of that endeavor.

Why wouldn’t you be excited about that, man or woman?

Why wouldn't your wedding day be the best day of your life prior to say kids?

Among responsible himans, there is a system and marriage is step one.

Pluis, most women double their household income in one day.

A lot of women's life goal is to get married starting from a young age. Their ideas are mainly construed by their upbringing in a family household and through movies/social media love stories.

Nature. Just tied into our DNA. They want to get married early. Once 30 hits and you are single with no kid and no prospects in sight, then their depression hits no matter how much they say they love life. Every woman wants to be a mother and a wife.

100% this

the OPs post is fricking stupid

the day I got married is still the best day of my life 15 years and 3 kids later. the reason why is because it was the start of my family and the start of an amazing ride and a legacy that will be left behind.

it is a huge major accomplishment to find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, build a life with and build a family with. It is not easy to find the right person as evidenced by the divorce rate.
