It is usually a sign that they are sexually unavailable to men.
Think about the women who do this to themselves.
- Lesbians. Understandable. They're not into men.
- Older, post-menopausal women. With their sexual prime past, they have no reason to attract men.
- Mean ol' married women from Gonzales - if they're not having sex with their husbands, they won't have it with anyone else. And who would want it?
- Feminists. Nothing more need be said.
It's just like the old saying... a woman's hair is her crowning glory. If a woman has no reason to draw attention to herself, her hair will show it. If she does, it will also show.
As for the statistical outlier, the heterosexual woman who looks better with short hair and is into men... these women are rare. But I would venture a guess that there's something else about them that is highly attractive or distinct that does the job that their hair ordinarily would. Body, eyes, smile... something needs to really stand out for it to work. But it's so rare, it hardly warrants mention.

Takes me 45 minutes just to blow dry my long hair straight. Then style it and makeup. So yeah...an hour. Thankfully my hair doesn't get greasy easily so I can go a day or two without washing it if I wish. It is actually healthier for your scalp to not wash it every day if you can tolerate it.

Some women's hair will never be long or look good long. Just like there are guys whose hair is the right texture to grow long and look ok, same with the vimmins.

Ive always preferred long hair on a woman vs short hair. The longer the better.

I will agree with this. I had a chin length bob in my college days. Made my head look like a mushroom. Horrible look.
Problem is....you won't know if short looks bad on you until after you cut it. I'll never cut my hair short again. Lesson learned

My wife has long hair and its thick. Takes her over an hour to wash n dry. Not counting the whatever styling she does after.
Meanwhile i still sport my medium reg from the military so i hop out the shower, shake my head like a dog and im good to go

I've had nightmares where I cut my hair short. Like would wake up in a panic cause it seemed so real. Would have to feel my hair for reassurance

I think every girl has had that same dream because i swore that i thought someone came in and cut my hair off while i was sleeping. Scared the shite out of me.
I just don't care for the pixie, boy cut. It's not feminine enough for me. I'm not saying i only like long hair, but i love having options with styling.

I have cut mine short (mid-neck) when I want a change or the ends look too damaged. Everytime, regret sets in as soon as I want a ponytail. Short hair required more attention because it can’t be braided or tied back; has to be styled. No good in the summer heat.
My husband says he likes my long hair better, so I’m growing it back out and leaving it long!

1. Hair salon tells them their face is right for it. Then requires frequent follow ups to maintain look.
