Seems pretty stupid and dangerous when it unlocks if you rely upon being locked for safety

Mine does, and locks when putting in drive. Can disable it in my settings through my stereo though.

My 04 Chevy truck does this. Generally you get out when you put a vehicle in park. It's convenient.

It isn't difficult to hit the lock button if you feel unsafe

My car doesn't, it unlocks when you attempt to open the door.

It's really a retarded feature if you think it through. Most cars can open from inside when locked regardless

Love it. Can't imagine putting my truck in park unless I was getting out.

It sounds stupid.

Most cars allow the inside passenger to overrule the lock if the handle is being released.

The car automatically unlocking the outside of the vehicle by putting the car in park does sound like a potential hazard.
