Why do so many imported antique vehicles have a Florida title?

I'm looking at older European vehicles on ebay and many of them have a Florida title. I assume that state has very lenient laws?

Probably the same reason every vehicle in Cabo has South Dakota plates.

A bunch of retirees down there. Old cars are a common hobby for those folk.

they probably transport them via ship and thats the closest port with many people who have money to spend on cars

Easiest place to get a title on a gray market car.

That is what I was thinking. Do they require less paperwork? Just wondering.
