I'm from Livingston parish and my only MG experience is showing up 1 hour to parade starting on Canal or hanging out on Bourbon all day. I'm dumb. LOL

Sorry you either have no friends or your friends are losers.
We had a whole half a small parking lot to ourselves today on Magazine street. Cooked an awesome breakfast and had mimosas and bloody marys. Hung out with 20-25 great friends. Had no trash around us like I would have at most events in La. We had kids going crazy with having fun. Could not think of a better way to spend a beautiful Sunday.
Thoth kicks arse btw.

It was too close to Christmas this year. Offshore rotation puts me going out on Monday, so I couldnt go ham on St.Charles and Amelia this year like I normally do.
Friends and family couldnt come in this year either due to moving, vacation days, etc etc etc.
Just a off year, will be back in style next year.

Don't live in LA.
Even when I did live in LA, never really did much for Mardi Gras. My family never really celebrated it when I was a kid either.

We hit uptown yesterday but I deliberately didn't spend a dime in Orleans. frick Landrieu. We may hit Metairie on Tuesday for the kiddos.
