re: Why did the Q tip thread get whacked

I got my ears cleaned with long metal tongs at a place in southwest China exactly like this. I'd seen those people everywhere and wanted to try it for the experience. It was bizarre, but I felt pretty good afterward.

I'll entertain the idea that my ears were actually worse than before because they were less protected. But it makes q-tip warnings seem overly cautious to me.

Probably from it being packed so tightly in there.
