Granted, I realize that it was not The Copacabana or a 4 star eatery, but the location and the drinks and the MMA stuff should have all made the place a prime location. I went and ate there the first time back in 2005 and you could not find a seat. I ate there again in 2009 (last time I went) and the place was still doing good business (thanks to MMA).

What was the ultimate verdict on the demise? How could a place in that location with cold beer and semi-decent food miss?

Mugshot's did even worse.

And it was, Champp's in Towne Center, not Town.

Worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant ever, it was so bad I honestly looked around for hidden cameras and I'm not trying to be funny by saying that.

We always enjoyed it....but I thought it was an issue with the parent company and not really a reflection on the particular location that resulted in the shut down.

I just do not see how a place in that prime of a location could just close down (even if rent was tough). Do some creative thinking and come up with a night to attract the college crowd; one night for the SIN crowd; one night for the black crowd; one night for families wanting to watch sports...it's not a tough science.

They closed because they just weren't good.

Although Champps was way better than Mugshots.
