2.5 hours is not "par for the course" for a beer festival. Look at the others just in the state. Top of the Hops, New Orleans International, NO On Tap... all are 4-6 hours. Zapps is too short and over crowded to be able to sample the beers at a reasonable pace and enjoy yourself.

I always have fun.

It's not meant for you to get shitty, or be a daylong event. Its a fund raiser.

Most fund raisers run 2-3 hours. Its not a festival.

I can't wait, plus my home brew club will be there today, Redstick Brewmasters.

Are we really going to call this a "fundraiser" and not a beerfest? C'mon man.

It's a beer fest.

The money goes to the museum.

So it's also a fundraiser if that's your definition of a fundraiser. But it's a beerfest first and foremost.

It would be illegal for the brewers (at least the homebrewers) to make money off of it.

Has the OT ever universally agreed that something is ok? Seems like everything posted gets blasted by 1/2 the posters in a thread.

They usually have a good sampling of custom beers brewed by the individual members. I'm just getting started, so I didn't want to bring anything I've produced haha.

If you want an utterly fantastic beer, try any made by Charlie or Lane. I believe they are putting their names next to their beers. These guys can make a helluva IPA.

Awrsome. Im all about IPAs.

Tigersnipen, pretty much. Its a great little event and $35 is not a lot of money to sample the amount of beers there. But Yea the OT will find a way to shite on everything

Yep, you have to go through a distributor for it to be legal, not that I would know anything about taxation issues

If this exact event was in Nola at the exact venue with the exact cost and time frame, it would be the most epic Beer Fest in the history of Beer Fests.

Haha. Hmmmmm is that because Nola>BR???????

For real though, if someone can't have fun at this shindig without having a stroke because its $35, you're not worthy of posting on here with all the elite.

I'll be there. I like the festival, the home brewers always bring it. And I feel like you get your $35 worth. shite, I've dropped that much on a random night at the Cove or the Bulldog. At least you're out in the sun for this
