I thought the same, but my wife teaches at a school with 53 employees. The vast majority of the staff is counting down the days and they range from mid 20s to mid 60s and only 4 are white. My wife has never heard of NWA. She's 10 years my junior. I had to introduce her to Ren, Yella, Arabian Prince and Easy. When I told her Ice Cube was in NWA and played some of their stuff - she was appalled. "How'd he go from F the police to Are We There Yet?" BTW I'm in

Subtle brag not so subtle.

It looked massively over dramatized. I wonder what kind of treatment Eazy E will get.

I am going. Likely with two other older white guys.

This 40 year old white dude is going. Probably on a Monday at noon.

Not this guy. I'll wait till it comes out on DVD. That way, I'll assure I can enjoy the movie in peace and quiet.

I'm interested to see it but I'm not going see it in the theater.

Nah, I'll catch it when it hits cable. Not going to put out much effort to see it..

I'm interested in the movie, but will wait for it to come out on DVD or something. With technology today, you can get a much better watching experience at home. I don't understand why people still go to theaters.

It's going to be exaggerated like crazy. That's why it came out now. Because all the people who can argue the facts of the movie are dead or in jail.

I'm not expecting it to be a documentary. I would expect it to be exaggerated just like their music was. I'm good with that.

I wanted to see this but the SO thinks I'll get jumped.
We'll wait and watch it at home.

From the previews, I gathered that the whole movie is geared towards black people claiming being arrested for "being black"
I see enough of that shite daily. No thanks.

Do 40+ year old white guys go to movies anymore, especially without their wives?
I am...one of my friends from college actually has a bit role in it. He is pretty much type cast as the Southern Redneck. My wife is actually interested in seeing it with me. We both grew up in the 80's and were in school when NWA broke out.

Who is going to see "Straight Outta Compton"?
How will this movie do in theaters? To me, their audience is a bunch of 40+ year old white guys and not the teenagers who make up a large percentage of the movie dollars. Do 40+ year old white guys go to movies anymore, especially without their wives?
Not this guy. The theatre on St. Maarten is already a sketchy place and the crowd this movie brings out is not going to be good. I'll just stream online for free.

I haven't been to a movie theater since Fight Club. I may damn well go and see this one though.
