Why are you going to an ortho for patellar tendonitis? Go to a PT if you are that big of a pussy.

Don't know if he is still practicing, but Jay Binder in Metairie at the Bone and Joint Center was fantastic. I had a patellar dislocation with retinactular avulsion fracture, in addition to a MCL tear and torn meniscus. I wasn't walking for 6 months- it sucked .

He was great and would gladly recommend him to anyone. He was realistic about my expectations of recovery, and he didn't feed me any BS. Both of my grandparents got knee replacements from him too.

Several injuries/abnormalities can be addressed via surgery. Dr. WJF004. Please post your medical credentials. I am well aware of what Osgood Schlatters is and how it predisposes the patient to patellar tendonitis. I 100% guarantee whoever OP goes to will not going to even consider surgery until he visits a PT and attempts treats it conservatively.

You might check out Dr. Reiss Plauche at Covington Orthopedics.

I've found better results youtubing videos than going to PTs. Maybe I just chose the bad ones. Seems like they all want to spend 15 minutes with you every visit and have you come back every week for 3 months. They almost want to let the injury linger as long as they can

It is for my son who plays high school
basketball. He does go to PT.

PT's don't do MRI's if needed

Well since I'm an ERMD that use to work on the Northshore I think I have an educated opinion, I took the Lithettes to Plauche. Darr is good as well, that's who I went to before Reiss started working

Lance Estrada at touro in New Orleans is hands down the what orthopedist I've ever seen and I'm a PT in New Orleans. It's not even close in my opinion. Go see dr Estrada.

Plauche or rolling at Covington orthopedics. I interned with them in 2008 and would vouch for them anytime to anyone. All my family and friends go to them. Plus they are great guys.

It's a little further away than you may prefer, but I would suggest Dr. Bookout (in Milton, FL).

Dr. Scott A. Buhler of Crescent City Orthopedics did my knee surgery. Highly recommended but a nod to the office staff as well. They weren't just punching a clock.

You cannot just go to a PT. A doctor has to write an Rx for the therapy.
