story of the murder

Guillory (DA) is an old teammate. He taught me the "tootsie roll" and "butterfly" during my freshman year summer practice.

One of my really good friends did a total of 15 years. 10 for aggravated assault(cleared on murder) , then another 5 for the same thing.

My next door neighbor growing has a rap sheet a mile long. Did time for aggravated assault and robbery.

Guy I was friends with in middle/high school doing life for a double murder.

Another guy from the neighborhood doing 30 years or something like that for kidnapping/ carjacking when we were about 19.

All except 1 came from middle to upper middle class homes with good families.

A good friend of mine in high school one day disappeared. He was absent from school for 2 weeks. Until 1 day watching the news, I seen his mugshot on the news, apparently this guy shot someone point-blank in the head in a drug deal gone wrong, and after he proceeded to wear the guy's clothes whom he just shot. With the blood splatter fresh on it.. Apparently that was a good idea in his head A guy walking round with blood all over him, nope that is not suspiscious at all to police

Also I have family members that are currently doing hardtime. I couldnt tell you for what because I dont associate with them, also have 75 year old uncle who just got off a 40 year sentence.

A guy I went to school with became a crack addict later in life. He broke into the home of someone he thought wasn't home to get money for crack. The woman busted him, and he proceeded to stab her... 40 times in front of her kids. He's serving life in Angola, and reportedly has rectal cancer now.

Another guy I went to high school murdered a guy, and is serving life at St. Gabriel.

A guy from my hometown killed his girlfriend and her dad with a shotgun after an argument. He is now serving life in Angola.

I know a guy (not real well, more of a passing hello at a party or 2) who is serving 37 yrs for killing his girlfriend! Kid had everything, His grand parents owned the local Honda car dealership. His Granddad gave him the money to open up a John Deere dealership that was making money hand over fist. He also has an uncle who was a pretty famous NASCAR driver in the 90's.

The story goes he killed her then wrapped her in duct tape and plastic. His dad went by the house to see him and caught his son loading the body into his car.

Guy's dad that I went to school with went to prison back around 82-83 for murder. He was a county deputy and they had been chasing this guy who had stolen some gas. At some point the guy ditches the car and takes off on foot. MY friend's dad jumped out of his cruiser and shot him in the back of the head with his service .357 revolver. His defense was that he meant to fire a warning shot over the guys head but I guess the jury didn't buy it.

I knew an old guy who shot his wife but she survived. They were separated and he went over to where she was staying to ask her to come home. When she said no, he pulled out a pistol and shot her in the chest. They sent him to prison but he died like a year or so later.

Another one, I never actually met him, was a distant relative on my father's side. He came home and found his wife in bed with a dude. He pulled out his pistol and made the guy get on his knees to beg for his life before he shot him dead. From what I was told it was the fact that he made the guy get down and beg that got him a murder charge. Had he just pulled his pistol and started shooting he would have got off easier.

What's funny is my hometown is less than 5000 people. It just seemed there was always some bizarre, violent stuff going on there.

My brother's best friend was on the verge of losing his business because of a gambling addiction. He bludgeoned his wife to death in an amateurish attempt to make it look like a burglary gone bad so he could collect the insurance money to bail him out of his gambling debts. He's doing life in prison now and has lost everything, including his children and grandchildren. To this day I still shake my head over how a guy who would give you the shirt off his back and was a gentle and loving father and husband could do something like this.
