Between news clips and my GF going on and on about it, I can't keep the facts straight. This case seems confusing.

So she left a party drunk, walked a long arse way and then went to some bar or something? Wasn't there a guy following her on the security cameras who said he was just checking on her because she was wasted? Was that the nursing person? And is Matthews the guy she seemed friendly with at the end?

The dude on camera following her was an older white dude...he went to the cops days later to say that he saw the girl end up with a big black dude with dreadlocks.
The big black dude is the nursing assistant who was arrested Wednesday in Texas.

If Matthews did abduct her, I wonder if he is also responsible for the 4-5 other missing person cases in Charlottesville in the last five years.

why is he in Texas?

If the police think you are a suspect and you know you are innocent... the last thing you want to do is flee the state making yourself look even more suspicious.

Surely he cannot be that stupid!

He was headed to Mexico and knows the border is easy to cross?

People see patterns where they want to see patterns. I'm not saying he didn't have anything to do with those, but that's a big leap.

I wonder what the missing girl rate is in other cities compared to Albemarle County and Charlottesville County where UVA is?

Those two counties are very white and very affluent. Could it be we just hear more about the missing girls from this area than others?

Again, I don't have these answers, just speculating.

IMO, I would be willing to bet this is not his first time doing this. Hopefully they find some evidence in his car that would totally debunk his statement about going their separate ways. Judging from the look of his car, he didn't seem to take care of it all that much so hopefully a strand of hair will be found in it.

he was kicked out of Liberty College (he was a football player there too) because he was accused of raping a girl (he was never charged). So, consider that nugget...

Since he worked at the hospital, do you think it could be possible that he stole some type of drug that could sedate the girl out for a few hours while he takes them to a secluded place, etc etc etc

weird twist if someone saw them sitting together having drinks. it's not like an assault out of nowhere. I wonder if they had met previously, or if she was so drunk she thought she was hanging with Usher?

this guy sounds dumber than a bag of sand.

I wonder how he got all the way to Texas. Wasn't his car being searched in Virginia?

Pretty sure she was abducted by one of ghosts in the pic below....Most likely the big one in the front left.

Plenty of eye witnesses have said she was highly intoxicated which tells us that she was an easy target.

I am hoping they find some type of evidence in his car so then he initial statement about going their separate ways is debunked

No one here is suspecting the guy who was on camera following her? Did the police talk to him and conclude that he was being honest?
