My grandma snaps them and sucks out the marrow, she's the only person I've ever met that does that and I always found it nasty

My Great Uncle would piss me off with the bone and marrow sucking. When I was kid, I always thought he was eating the bones.

There's no way she can get down chicken bones, those things will gut you like a razor.

I've heard of cooking with them. Eating them, that's just freakin' wrong man.

I'm pretty sure that's why they say don't feed them to dogs. Never really thought about it but I guess it could be the same for humans.

I went to elementary and high school with a guy that if you gave him your chicken at lunch, he would eat everything, bones and all.

I also saw him once eat five whoppers with cheese, two large orders of fries and two large chocolate shakes after a wrestling match in high school. He wasn't fat either, 6'5" and about 220 lbs.

Dude was prolific to say the least.

My Dad did that. He grew up very poor and would every single bit of a piece of chicken - skin, fat, even grisle... Nothing left but cleaned bones and cartilage.
Sucking the marrow was a way to get extra calcium and vitamins.
I still feel a little guilty when I put so much of the chicken in my dog's food because I don't consider it fit to eat; and it would have been "good-eating" to my Dad when he was a big...
