Hartford for everything; home, two cars, a truck, a boat, and a motorcycle.
I've never had to make a claim so I can't speak of their service but I am very happy with their rates.

Chubb went up a good bit last year, in only my second year with them.

I've said it every time I see a thread like this, insurance of any kind is a fricking scam. You want me to pay for damage that hasn't even happened yet? Yeah right, frick off.
How about this...? (According to your logic)
You get the policy and only have to pay the premium if you have a loss. To be fair to the insurance Co they could only pay you back what you paid them. (They would have no other money)
The principal of insurance is based on risk sharing. Everyone pays premiums on what the company anticipates paying back in claims. 80% have no losses and pay money with no return. 20% get paid in claim payments that are usually way more than the premiums paid. You pay $2000 a year for a Home insurance and your house burns down. After paying to rebuild the house, replace your contents lost and provide temporary housing the insurance Co pays over 300K. It is a contract of unequal values.

State Farm tried to screw me on NFIP Policy for just shy of 5K for $165,000, got Farm Bureau policy at $997.00.
SF no longer sells NFIP policies. Make sure the underwriting is correct. If they wrote you in the wrong zone or incorrectly the policy will have to be reformed before they pay anything. You will be assessed back premiums. BTW- NFIP sets the rates all insures that sell flood insurance charge. It is their policy insurance companies just get a servicing fee.

Yeah, Chubb has my cars (Safeco) and they even did an agreed value on my Corvette.
I've got everything with them as well as an umbrella.

State farm...they are not the cheapest, but when it is their turn to pay up, they do it with no flack or trying to get out of it...
fwiw, insurance companys are regulated and have to charge rates based on how much they pay out...beware of companys that charge rates that seem too good to be true. after your car or house has been destroyed is not the time to wonder if your insurance is going to pay...
