Whitney Thore isn't afraid to use the F word: Fat.

"We have a belief that fat equates to all negative things," Thore, a viral video sensation who now has a TLC show, "My Big Fat Fabulous Life," told the Daily News. "If you're fat you're lazy, stupid, unhealthy, ugly, and I don't believe that. I believe that fat can coexist with a lot of other great adjectives."

Thore's trajectory to fame began last January, when she and her colleagues at a North Carolina radio station released a YouTube video called "A Fat Girl Dancing."

"I definitely loved the title," the 29-year-old recalled. "To juxtapose the word 'fat,' which is the dirtiest word and has so many negative connotations, with the images of a body in motion, of someone happy, of somebody living their passions … it humanizes fat people," she said.

Thore was never skinny, she told The News, but a diagnosis with polycystic ovarian syndrome six years ago caused her to gain almost 100 pounds overnight. The condition makes it difficult for her to lose weight.

But Thore also takes "personal responsibility" for her body and said that she would like to drop 100 pounds.

"I'm not naïve to the health risks that come with being this size," she said.
