Is she serious? Did we forget about all of the action movies where Jackie Chan and Jet Li played the "hero" role? I mean, if she was talking strictly about the movie The Great Wall, I could see her point. However, there are plenty of mainstream movies where a person of color is the "hero"

Well, considering that China is a big audience for these movies and they buy more when the lead is Caucasian, maybe the blame for "whitewashing" should be pointed in a different direction.

The National Federation for the Blind insists that only blind actors should play blind people.

Good. It seems okay that we force diversity on the common folks. Let's focus on the rich white people. Damon loves to tell us how to live, let's see how he feels when he is passed for gigs because he is white.

People don't seem to understand that history isn't written in stone. A lot of it is interpretation. Did a white guy build the Great Wall of China? Maybe. But it's a debate worth having.
