White privilege thread

In support of the civil rights activists at Mizzou, thought I'd start a thread listing all the things being white has afforded me:

1. Enlisted in Army at 19, an opportunity only available because of my white ancestry.

2. Got an ROTC scholarship, paid for my undergrad degree. Only required a 2.0 but again only possible because I'm white.

3. Bought a house within my budget, got the special whites only low interest rates, paid my monthly bill on time using my white privilege checkbook.

4. My wife and I waited to have kids till she was done with her masters which she paid for by working full time as an RN, good thing she is white too or she never would have received tuition assistance from her hospital.

Bottom line - it's good to be white, shite is so easy. Hopefully more full scholarship athletes quit playing sports to bring this to the rest of America's attention.
