However in this study, education and experience were not "ghetto". And the fact remains the study used common names from birth certificates 25 years prior.

And that does suck for the applicant who didn't name herself and should only be judged on her merits. I get that.

On the other hand, HR will coddle minority employees for fear of lawsuits. Companies will keep a subpar minority rather than fire her to avoid looking racist and being sued. And minorities can get accepted into schools and for jobs over whites due solely to their skin color.

Question: will Affirmative Action always be necessary? Shouldn't it have a shelf life?

Have you ever been to a black neighborhood? Here's an experiment. Pick out a city on the map. Any city in the US. Go there and find the worst neighborhoods. They'll be black, with a few being Hispanic if you're out west. Matter of fact go visit any black neighborhood anywhere and there's about a 90% chance it's full of litter, dilapidated housing, adults loitering at all hours, and crime.

It sucks for the many blacks who do maintain their properties. It really does. But blacks have proven time and again incapable of maintaining a neighborhood.

In the Dem debate last night they said whites will be minority in about 40 years. So our grandkids I expect will be able to use affirmative action and apply for minority scholarships.

I'm in my mid 40's and have used my white good looks all my life for the betterment of me! The difference between me and others arguing with you is I can admit it!

Company hires white guy he doesn't work out they fire him. They hire a black guy and fire him they have to worry about a lawsuit and being called racist. Sorry but that is the truth.
