White /Black people;- what is your opinion of BLM? Let's get honest...

We really can't talk about these sensitive subjects in social media, but perhaps this TD OT is a good forum to express honesty without repercussion from friends, family, co workers and so on.
What goes through your mind when you hear an BLM activist on the stump telling you they are afraid (of what or whom I am not sure), that whites are supremacist, racists, oppressors and do not value black people.
What goes through your mind when an activist demands you change your attitude towards black people and asks you say "Black lives Matter" out-loud in a public forum?
Do you feel you understand the movement? Do you believe, think or feel they ask whites what they think about segments of the black community or do see it as "they just preach" at you based on assumptions of your personal beliefs about black people?
What is the movements' end goal or mission in your opinion?
Do you feel you can challenge some of the things these activists say, or is it best to bite your lip and move on?
Do you feel that BLM fails to recognize accountability inside the Black community? Or do you feel, no white people need to change to help black people move forward...if so in what ways specifically?
As a white, do you have self awareness of bias and racism and if so, how do you center yourself? What are the things you observe they make you struggle?

That won't be what the bans are for.

I think they're the Black Panther Party lite.....no real message but "appear" to advocate violence, rioting and looting. They're like Sharpton, they have no end goal except stirring the race pot.

I think its a load of shite. It seems like an excuse to look for a handout. I don't believe in white privilege or the idea that white people are out to hold the black man down.
I believe in financial privilege which is related but not the same. The black kid that grew up across the street from me with responsible parents has the same privileges and disadvantages that I had growing up and today.
But according to some of my friends my opinion is invalid because I'm male, middle class and white.
You're probably going to get a similar answer from most white people. This thread would be more interesting if it included black peoples opinion of the BLM movement.

why?
Is there no place you talk about real issues?
I see these facebook posts all the time....
really can't do anything but watch or ignore...
no comment is welcomed...
I am just curious what people think of the BLM movement.
I think there is validity to some of their plea, I also believe they don't spend enough time drawing people out to talk about their own fears, thoughts or whatever.
