I haven't had any problems with my 55'' Vizio. Had it since Christmas

ETA: From what I see the Samsung is 3D, but isn't a smart TV like the Vizio.. So really depends what you wanted to use it for

Haven't swayed from Vizio since my first purchase. Have had a 32", 42", and 55". All great TVs.

Have Samsung LED in living room and Vizio LED in bedroom. While the Vizio is a great TV, it's nothing in comparison to the Samsung.

The Vizio is about $100 cheaper.

I have the chromecast, so the smart tv features aren't really important to me.

I already bought the Vizio and like it, but the samsung went on sale

Seconded. You could take the name brands off these TVs and most people would be just fine with either TV. Only people that care are techno-snobs.

I just bought a samsung tv for no reason becasue this thread... Thanks.

I own 3 vizio's but I decided to get me a Samsung for my bedroom. Love Vizio if you have speakers but this TV wont have any kind of added volume help so I needed the Samsung.

I have both and put them side by side during the NCAA Tournament. The only difference was the Samsung had fuller color, but I messed with the settings on the Vizio and helped get it closer to the same.

I have loved both the TVs and would have never noticed the difference in quality without putting them side by side. You will get sharper brighter colors with the Samsung, but the Vizio is a good alternative if you want to spend a little less money. .
