David Phelps from the Gaithers and it isn’t even close…

And the pianist is on fire in it too…

Another note, the guy over his shoulder towards the end when the choir stands to sing is Mark Lowry who wrote Mary Did You Know?

Love Bocelli

But I’ve got to give the nod to Steve Mauldin

This was true until I heard Lauren Daigle’s version.

IDK about the 'best' but Lee Greenwood's version is very inspiring.

I'm impressed. He's got a good voice. Some rather difficult notes to hit and hold in that song, but pretty good version.

Another very powerful rendition. He started a little weak, but he started really feeling it half-way through. /salute

WTF? After 50+ years, I've never paid attention to the differing ending lyrics of some classic versions in radio rotation.

Some end with: O night divine, O night DI-VIIIIIIIIIIINE

Some end with: noel, NO-EEEEEEEEEELLLLLL, O holy night

The melody and big note crescendos are the same, but the lyrics are completely different. WTF?

I know right…the power that was delivered with is astounding. David Phelps has one of the all time best voices and it is power driven too. Thanks for watching it!

Many great ones mentioned but another excellent rendition is LeAnn Rimes and I've never even been a big fan of hers...watch and listen. She can really hit those high notes!

Yes I think the beginning is Phelps just setting the stage and building up to change gears along the way.

Probably Lou Rawls. The man’s voice is like drawn butter.
