You have no idea how popular those cars are do you?
Yeah. I think people forget that cars like that are the new 60s/70s muscle cars and are becoming increasingly collectible.

but could I tuck 30" dubs underneath?

Just because it's old doesn't make it worth that much money. No one is going to pay $7200 for that piece of shite.

People that are into retro mustangs might want to pay that...I wouldn't call it a PoS

Typo? Was it supposed to be $720?

The AE 86 is becoming collectable. 7200 would be for a perfect one with less than 50k miles. The seller probably found a perfect on ebay and thinks their car is the same. This is probably worth 1500-2000.

Or he mistakenly thought it was a Turbo Supra.

That's a hachiroku. Not sure about $7200, but the market on those is a bit different than your run of the mill late eighties econobox. It's an enthusiast car, popular with the tokyo drift types.

The '84 Toyotas (Corollas definitely included) were one of the few cars you could count on starting on a regular basis.
I opted for a new '82 Mitsubishi (badged as a Plymouth Sapporo) clone of that Corolla-
It ran and ran and ran and ran.....
Mine had wheels and was cleaner-
