We will be getting in around 7:30, wouldn't mind getting a beer and seeing a band. Any good spots that would have something decent on a Thur?

The Moody Theater

Ages?

ETA Alice Cooper at the Moody

Late 20s, prefer country/rock. Pat Green, Ryan Bingham, turnpike troubador type stuff.

Continental Club and Stubb's both have live music tonight.

then too bad you're not getting in earlier. Steve Earle has a free show at Waterloo.

Truth

After looking... I suggest Uncle Lucious at the Saxon Pub. Never been there, but it's a good band. I would call them country, with a subtle hint of bluegrass here and there. They have plenty of stuff on youtube you can check out first.

Lotus and Kung Fu at Stubb's

FML I can't wait till I move March 1st

That's where I would be, but you may not be into that. Check out Uncle Lucious.

yeah uncle luscious will be right up your alley (typical Austin experience - a friend of mine dated the guitarist for awhile when the band first started so I saw them multiple times early on).

and the saxon pub is a really cool divey Austin place.

Nice

The Blasters are playing at Continental Club, but I wouldn't suggest them. They are a good band, but they will bring an older crowd.
