Considering leaving shortly to go to a few parades on st Charles today. Have a spot with people on the corner of st. Charles and Jackson (not our real spot but closish).

Where is the best place to park? Don't mind paying.

Find a vehicle with a ticket on it already, take the ticket, park your vehicle close to an intersection and put the ticket on your windshield.

Done.

Literally wherever there's an open spot between claiborne and st. charles. Construction on Napoleon and other major streets have deemed parking nearly impossible the past 2 years.

I like that idea. Are there any lots or garages relatively close by? Businesses charging for parking?

I do know Touro is letting people park in their garage. I'm sure the rates are spiked, but if you dont mind paying, this aint bad.

Yeh should I just stay home? It's an hourish drive without traffic.

Not sure, haven't gone in years. If you go down early enough you should be able to find a spot relatively easy. Just cruise the streets until you see something. Then take the ten-toe express.

I think the parades start at 10 or 11.

Don't be a puss, you have plenty of time.

Park on magazine by the corner of cape de ville.

It's safe and hard to get to due to one way streets and parade route. Gotta come up lafayette to get there.

I think this would have worked in the past, but I actually saw the city with a parade of tow trucks towing cars from the corners all the way down Baronne. At the time, they were by Gen Tylor with 3 in tow and 2 trucks setting up to grab some more cars off corners.

ETA: I was shocked because neither my wife or I had seen cars towed during Mardi Gras that weren't obvious problems.

I thought it was a game until some old lady got pissed when I got in front of her at hermes/morpheus. Bitch was like "we've been sitting here since 4:30." I told her, "Well I guess you should have been standing up, huh?"

This woman then walks over to NOPD and snitches. Cop just looked at her and was like, "OK? "

Ridiculous

We are stuck waiting for them to move Endymion parade. Doesn't look like we'll be moving anytime soon

Go park on the corner of 6th and Baronne, it's the north side of at Charles and not far from Jackson
