50+ is tough. I'd say Rice Village or a porch in Midtown. All depends where you will be.

I am 29, but I love Dogwood, any woodrows, Front porch or Porch Swing pubs, all of the creek restaurants, Christians Tailgate.

Honestly the some of my favorites are on White Oak in the Heights. I guess it all depends where you are.

For those hating on Drink Houston, it is what it is. It is marketed to younger crowds, and has 5 different places to cater to all types and ages. I've been a few times for my wifes work, and the karaoke bar is pretty nice.

The correct answer is to leave Houston and find somewhere to go out in Austin or Dallas or Lafayette.
