Guys, that was not a hard or dangerous job at all. Don't be scared to save yourself 150+ dollars by doing it yourself. Took less than an hour.

The job is not hard but the amount of energy stored in the wound spring is significant and if one is not careful, the metal rod used to wind the torsion spring can slip and rip in to one's chest or bicep with great force.

For some mechanically inclined people, this job is really no big deal. For most... not so much. Most people can frick up a soup sandwich.
