I'm seeking different options. In one vehicle I keep it in a case, unzipped(easier access)in the center console under a top tray. In my other vehicle I have a holster mounted under the dash because I have the extra room. What do y'all do?

This. In a holster that status locked between the seat and console but it allows the pistol to slide out freely.

Yep.

The only problem with that is that it can shift or slide down. If you really need to get to it then it's better to know exactly where it will be when you grab for it.

Having the holster mounted under the steering wheel is nice because you can easily access it without having to look... you can keep your eyes on the threat.

In the center console. If I'm in a sketchy part of town, between my legs.

I keep mine in my maintence papers in side door on my platinum. The paper ado a good job of disguising and it doesn't slide. Easy access with my left hand.

3 different pistols in 5 trucks over 6 years and I have never had either of those happen.

Plus, if someone runs up on your window, it's easier to conceal the pistol you're grabbing if it's behind your body (between the seat and console) than it either be if it was under the steering wheel.
