LA has a megaphone with Hollywood. I am not arguing about which is better.

I didn't realize Dallas was so frowned upon. It's a good city, maybe not the best, but not terrible.

IMO you are correct. Chicago is a pretty awesome town although not without major problems of its own.

Something I wish we could strip from LA. Hollywood definitely influences media and culture as much as I hate to say.

Dallas is okay and all but if it's frowned upon it's because of delusional residents who think it's going to soon pass Chicago as America's 3rd city.

Hey, we have our own real housewives show. If that's not a testament to up and comingness then I don't know what is.

San Francisco and New York are vastly superior to Los Angeles or Chicago IMO.

While San Francisco may be more picturesque and a nicer place to visit than Los Angeles, it doesn't have the national or global importance or impact of Los Angeles.

LA sucks. Nothing endearing about it except for weather and Vin Scully. Chicago, NY, Boston, SF, All better then LA.

Dallas and Houston are the exact same thing. Funny when residents of each compare which is better.

The bay area is home to Google and Apple among other names. Not that LA isn't important with its port, airport, etc., but they don't even lord over the film industry anymore.

I would shoot myself before living in Dallas or Houston. Suburban hell on Earth.

Believe it or not, Dallas and Houston both have urban cores, which is why they have suburbs by definition

The only other city in the top 10 in population that HOU and DFW that has an urban core even sort of comparable to is maybe PNX but PNX still has them both beat with the better suburb of Scottsdale with hotter chicks and better university.

Neither google nor Apple are in San Francisco.

Downtown Dallas isn't great, but it's certainly improving. If you look at uptown and downtown combined, there is a nice mixture of urban living opportunities
