Can't remember the last time I played a CD in my truck or anywhere else for that matter.
It's been at LEAST 5 years.

Hmm
My new 2016 tahoe does have a cd reader. It has 5 usb ports one of which in inside the dash behind a motorized door that slides up and down. It will accept a jump drive and ipod at the same time and allow switching amongst cd reader, ipod and jump drive. It has apple car play.
My 2017 malibu has 3 ports with car play but has no cd reader.

Funny. I was just thinking about the one in my truck yesterday and how I never use it. Use my phone and Bluetooth.
