They also didn't allow them to file back taxes for earned income tax credits 100 years ago either...
The absurdity of this is so astounding that I almost refuse to believe it.
If it happens people should storm D.C. and start hanging politicians form lamp posts.

If all the other stupid shite doesn't make people storm D.C., this won't either.

It was a set up to blame Michael for taking out his old friend. Pentangeli survived, ratted out Michael only to see he was wrong and then took his own life. Hyman Roth was behind it all.

Frankie took over fat Clemenzs crew when he croked.
Saddest part of godfather was when sal realized he was fixing to die for being a traitor.
Tom, can you get off the hook for old times sake?
Sorry Sally, can't do it.
No honor among thieves.

Vito Corleone never came to America. Vito Antolini did.
Get your shite straight if you gonna needlessly bitch about something.

The entire immigration situation is stupid.
A nation without borders will eventually lose its identity.
We need to secure our borders, and systematically let people in after they are documented and checked out. We need immigrants, but we don't need immigrants who are ill, criminals, or who have no means of support.
And we don't need to be giving rebates to people who are illegal. EITC are ridiculous anyway, providing them to illegals is beyond that.

Many Italians were sent back for having simple health issues, like a lazy eye etc..many were shaking nervous while being processed in fear of being rejected and being separated from family. From my grandmothers mouth, may she rest in peace. .

Needless?? No need to criticize our current immigration system, right?

At first it was just business, Sally said; but then when he got away from Michael he tried to work Tom and get to his heart.
Tom was sympathetic, but he never was going to buck Michael. even though he was not as ruthless, he was loyal to the max.

That's why Thanksgiving is so big in Sicily. Turkey Cacciatore, Sweet Potato Parmesan, etc.

Discussing immigration reform is fine, just take it to poly board. What's needless is comparing it to the immigration system 100 yrs ago as depicted in a movie.
As my example states in my previous post, yes, we checked him for small pox. But gave him a whole new identity. Is that what you want? Allowing people to receive a new identify as long as they get a physical?

It's the smart move. Tessio was always smarter.
He knew what the consequences were if he were found out. He should've known Michael was smarter than that, though.

He suffered from the pox at the time he departed the ship from Palermo. As a result, he was quarantined and declared a WOP (with out papers). This also explains why his name changed upon arrival. Like many Italians and Sicilians who entered with out papers, the immigration officials did not know the immigrants surname. As a result, they just assigned them a surname based upon the village or area from which they came.

It was also the whole purpose for that huge facility on Ellis Island. What else do you think that was for?

Thanks Mikey. I knew that Ivy League education would come in handy.
Also, that's where the derogatory term for Italians, Wop, comes from.
