Into the game cartridge.

Ps1/2/3, toothpaste/penut butter swirled on the scratches then rinsed off.

This feels like a bait and switch thread.

Blew into the cartridge first, then the console. Sometimes you had to gently put the game in and slowly press it down...

Both and also had the cleaning kit you could buy. Sometimes had to wedge something on top to get it to work after I pushed it up and down 50 times.

I found my Sega just the other day. My kids been watching Sonic the hedgehog and that made me go look for it.

Plug it in, turn it on and nothing. It looked old as shite and I didn't even expect it to come on, but the light at least came on, but had a blank screen.
So I take the cartridge out, blow on it and in the console, look at my wife and roll my eyes at how dumb that was, put it back in and sure enough we were playing sonic 10 seconds later.

I had to stick the handle of a brush into mine and hold the game down further than it would normally click in.

Was I the only one who would push the game in about 95% of the way and push down causing it to kind of slam down hard?

That shite worked every time.
