My left side under my ribs hurts. When would a doctor not feel like I was wasting his time? Hours? Days?

I don't care if it's aids or whatever, just wondering how long I should deal with it before going to the doctor

TIA

If it's bruised ribs the dr will just tell you to let it ride.

Only you can decide what is right for your body.

Any other issues? Fever? Nausea? Is it sensitive to touch or just hurts in general? I have heard a good test for appendicitis is to see if it hurts a lot worse when you try to jump up and down. However, I think appendicitis issues start in the middle of your stomach and tend to travel to the lower right side.

In all seriousness, if you are in that much pain go to the ER. They'll figure out what's wrong and take care of it before it gets worse.

Because if it is serious and ruptures you could die.

Your Pancreas is located on your left side below your ribs and above your stomach. You could have Diabetes. If it is, then what you are talking about could be or lead to Pancreatitis. If there is some history in your family then the chance it is Diabetes and a strain on your Pancreas goes up greatly. Pancreatitis will hospitalized you and kill you, if ignored.

Well. Jogging every morning, pilates, and some yoga will fix that...
