That's what I don't get: why should you be expected to have to get up, go over (not knowing what to expect the reception will be like) and ask, much less as you say multiple times, when 9/10 times the loud mfers have to know they're being too loud. Plus, if they don't tone it down and you're forced to call the cops they'll know who called them and possibly seem revenge of some kind.

Unless you're talking about loudness that may be borderline or that they may be unaware of it seems stupid to expect people to come over first except if you all know each other well enough and that's the protocol.
