I wouldn't say "stopped" as much as I would say "slowed down". Married with kids does that. But let me add that the older I get, the less tolerant I get of bullshite.

I used to be much more welcoming to it when younger (and more naive). That part definitely puts a strain on making good friends.

I'm guessing if you had a house party and invited all your non-married friends only like one would show up.

I bet he's a good guy though. Probably a great dancer.

I still make lunch threads, but I've backed off making other threads due to being bullied and chastised. What was the question again?

I'm 21 and I can't see myself stopping making friends any time soon. I'm a very social person and get a long with people very well. I'll obviously keep my college friends close, but that doesn't mean I'm going to close off the rest of the world. My co-workers have become some of my best friends at my internship and they are late 20's, so I see no reason why you have to ever stop making real friends.

It just happens as you get older. Priorities change, life, job and most of all family. You will make real friends through out your adult life but it won't be very often.

The older I get the less friends I seem to have or need. Thank god for family.

Agreed.

The good news is that, as your career and family matures, you will have more time to see the friends you do have. They will probably be at a similar season in life.

It is hard though to make a really close friend later on. Your close friends that you make at a younger age know where all the bodies are buried.
