Men and women in recent years stopped giving a crap about how they look in public. Young women now wear massive tshirts over shorts, dirty hair in a messy bun...men wear the same worn out tshirts and cargo shorts/ripped jeans they purchased 10 years ago and dont want to shave anymore. Would like the OT's thoughts on why the majority of ppl simply dont seem to give a shite these days.

Baby boomers completely killed traditional culture in pretty much every way, and It has only gotten worse ever since then. You have to live in an affluent area nowadays if you want to see people dressed nicely.

It started with the hippy movement in the '60's.
It has taken a while for it to permeate into all cultures but we're pretty much there.

It's all apart of a viscous gay underground that is tearing apart our society! Cargo shorts have extra pockets to hold sex toys! Women use massive t-shirts to hide their double-ended dildos!

I don't care as much about clothes as their physical appearance. Have a little pride in yourself fatty.

They never stopped caring.

The people that "don't care" still care. The "don't care" look is what they are trying to project, so they still care about their appearance.

Good point. It take a lot of effort to be a hipster.

You sound like you are describing college kids. I have not encountered this in a professional setting.

People who wear cargo shorts are decidedly not hipster.
