When did Pedialyte become the hangover go-to?

I had never heard of it used as a hangover cure until recently, yet I feel like everyone is chugging a bottle of that shite the next day. It works, though, but came out of nowhere.

I remember this was a.common thing for athletes when I was in high school. Maybe the wrestlers used it after cutting weight, but I don't remember. It's been a thing for a while.

Did they have Combat Lifesaver school when you were in? That was by far the most useful thing they taught. Saturday morning in Korea and half the barracks had an IV.

they they're doing it wrong.
If you're using hangover "cures" the next day when you're already hungover, you're like 10 miles behind the 8 ball. You're supposed to drink it the night before during/after drinking and before bed to replinish all the electrolytes and fluids you've lost to drinking. Thus, no hangover in the morning.
