Went shoe shopping yesterday and the $80 pair of asics I bought looked better and were more comfortable than the most expensive nike's. Even the Under Armour and new balance shoes > Nike. When did this happen? When we were kids Nike was tGoat

as far as comfortable and quality shoes it's been like that for quite awhile. Nike are pretty terrible.

everyone's feet fit into shoes differently but every Nike i've tried on has always been very uncomfortable to me.

That's because you have the little white man's foot.

In my opinion, they started to suck when I couldn't look at a pair of Nike's without thinking of Michael Jordan.

Since they started charging $149 for a product that cost $5 to produce.

I've worn the Nike frees as casual running/gym shoes for like the past 6 years. They are always comfortable.

I'm not a fan of their newest iteration though.

Asics has always produced a superior product than Nike for running. Nike is more popular and often has better looks, but Asics and Brooks are better from a performance standpoint.

I've preferred New Balance or Asic over Nike for a long time now, especially for running shoes.

I like the Structure series they have. It's like anything, do some research and get some of their better shoes.

Statements like this about running shoes are about as subjective as it gets...

The only tennis shoe I wear. They look good in jeans, shorts, and still a decent running shoe

I still enjoy wearing Nike's casual athletic shoes when hanging around the house or running to the store. I would never wear Nike's for any actual athletic activity.

Nike still is the GOAT.

Best DRI-fit athletic and golf shorts out there. The Nike Free's and Roshe's are also the comfortable work-out shoe on the market IMO.

I am not a huge fan of the $250 super air-max's though.

Regardless, Nike is GOAT and that won't change any time soon.
