I have read that the P-8 is largely underperforming, is this true?
Can we mark it up with the F35 and LCS pitfalls?

We have a few issues that any brand new platform would have. But compared to the P-3, we are a huge upgrade and we get the mission done every time, so I would say we performing as expected.
