The point is that people spend obscene amounts of money on shiny objects and ridiculous clubs that they think will help their game.

You know what helps your game? Practice. Play. Consistency. You know why they give junior golfers one wood and three irons? Because the focus is on fundamentals like swing and rhythm, not club selection and gadgets.
