I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone is attractive enough to risk getting full blown aids from.

We are dealing with another kind of epidemic. A lot of people find needles very attractive.

Hep C and HIV are growing again. Hell there are more overdoses in Baton Rouge than there are murders. These HIV drugs won’t stop that…but it does help with the rise of infection after the opioid crisis peaks.

Wrong question. Why should they be able to hide it and be “undetectable”? Seriously asking..

I guess Magic Johnson showed that we could make people live with Aids and make money on the treatment.

Still surprises me to this day that magic Johnson survived back when he got the HIV. That shite was a death sentence in the late 80’s early 90’s. Guess the drug companies were on to something back then but only if you had the $$$.

Completely wrong.
Chance of you getting HIV from needles is like .01%. Anal sex, specifically homosexual, leads to AIDS.
Another inconvenient drug fact.

You could say they that about any disease. Privacy is a big deal I this country and being undetectable means they probably cannot transmit it.

I think it’s because the drug patent only lasts 20 years so it recently lapsed a few years back, and now other companies have started to make competing medications using the patent

I don't care how big of a deal privacy is, if you have HIV or aids, you are obligated to tell someone before sex, in my book. No matter if you are undetectable or whatever they are trying to claim.

I agree with that.

IIRC, California was trying to change laws around knowingly spreading HIV. So legal cover for that will probably be a mainstream DNC platform in the next 5 years.

undetectable viral load doesn't have anything to do with privacy and/or disclosing your disease to potential partners. im not sure why you are conflating the two.

undetectable basically means the treatment is working and keeping the hiv in check so to speak. it doesnt mean they get to behave like they dont have hiv

Didn’t the FDA just revise blood donation rules to allow homosexual men to donate?

capitalism.
benefits to society of having fewer deathly ill people.
the research that goes into developing those drugs is useful for other diseases.
