I have a deactivated FB right now so not playing on the apps, but when I'm out of town for work and only there for a week I put a straight forward aggressive style into play. And i know off the bat if they are down to just have fun or not due to that. And I promise it doesn't take long at all to find something.

That's disturbing. No wonder men aren't enticed to want a relationship... why are women so easy now? It's the end of western civilization as far as I can tell.

I don't over analyze it. I just think it's weird that's how dudes would try and approach a female. But as SS said, I guess it has to work for some or they wouldn't use it.

I'm fascinated by the psychology of all of this; what people are after, after sex of course. How do we determine if we want more or not? And if we do, how/when do we go about it? In respect to how our generation meets and dates, we are a different breed.

ETA: this is why I have been drawn to lurk the OT off/on over the years. Wanting to learn how men view women. Here's what I've gathered:
1. #1 goal: PIIHB
2. "Make me a sammich."
3. OT 10 doesn't exist. An IRL hot woman is probably an OT 6.
4. Assume that all women will end up fat and bitchy and take all their money after kids and divorce and then chase BBC.

Also y'all were talking about the 'trashy' stuff. Yeah I don't do the 'let's get to the chase' messages, I just am upfront even in my profile that 'I'm only in your town for X amount of days and looking to go hangout and have fun', and if they message me and want to hangout then that's them telling me they are down without having to say it.

You want to stand out? Just think about how many messages women get on Tinder from guys doing the same "play it safe, get to know her for a while before trying to escalate"

She has seen this over and over:

Guy: Hey, how is it going

Girl: Hi

Guy: NM, you

Girl: NM

Guy: So (insert generic get to know you question here)

By this time the girl is already bored out of her mind because she has seen this same conversation a million times. She is on Tinder to get action now, not talk to a guy for a few days before he even gets the idea to ask her out. If you aren't escalating with her, there will be another guy who is, and she will forget about you and go with the guy who is actually looking to escalate. Be direct and be bold.

You'd be surprised at how well going for the juggular... "I'm going to squeeze your arse like a stress ball".... "Your tits look fake" etc. will work. It's different from the boring shite she hears dozens of times a day on Tinder. If you want to have a generic boring "get to know her" conversation than go to Match or some website like that. Tinder is all about what can you do for me now, hence the word Tinder, which is a reference to striking while the iron is hot.
