there is a surplus of jobs in the tech industry here. It's actually really hard to fill positions in that role, from what I hear.

You are, without a doubt, entirely correct.

That is what I get for trying to be friends with people on here. There was some weird theme going on anyways.

I'm going back to being a douche bag on here. It is more fun that way.

Still open to being friends with Paige though.

Nice try. You just want to shoot me in the woods and say you thought I was a turkey.

I work in IT and get calls constantly from recruiters about jobs in the area. I'm in RR on the boarder of GT and CP.

I've lived in Austin for 20 years and I've never heard of raising roosters in the city being a thing

I just moved from georgetown (the part on the round rock border) last month after living there for 5 years and I think Austin is the shite. 6th Street is a lot of fun, food is great, people are great, and plenty of things to do. It's also a big music hub with ACL and other music festivals.

I Def don't regret selling my home though; I bought about 5 years ago and was able to sell for 30k over what I paid for it. Real estate prices may have risen too fast, so it feels good to come out ahead before the bubble pops.

Austin = traffic

Some of the worst I've dealt with. Would take Houston and DFW every day of the week over Austin. From what I've heard, I think they've put a toll road on the entire west side that has helped to relieve some of the parking lot that is better known as I-35.

It's a thing, but people are raising chickens, not roosters, for the most part. I had a roommate that did it for a while, after I moved out. I've seen chickens loose in some neighborhoods in central Austin. It's not like every other house has them, but you'd be surprised at how many that do.
