I have a lot of stumps from bushes in my yard that I need to dig up, how the heck do I do this? They are cut low to the ground so I can wrap a chain around it and pull or anything, and a shovel definitely isn't going to do it. What should I do?

rent a stump grinder, turns it into wood chips in the ground. Or hire someone to do it.

Hi-lift jack or a truck with chain.

Use a pitch fork and loosen them up. Then pull them up

Or hire some illegals

I rented a little bitty backhoe to do this one time. Easy to operate and fun to boot. If these bushes are close to your house you're going to have to be good with that bucket.

Use pressure washer with fine nozzle to blast the soil around the roots creating a big enough hole to use your chainsaw without dulling the blade on the soil.

Any chance of utilities ran in the area?
If so, don't pull the fricker!
The roots will make sure "you're gonna have a bad time"

Going to need a maddux if you're going to go thru the hell of doing it by hand.

I know a guy who twisted the axel up like wringing out a wet towel trying to pull a stump out with a chain.

Have also seen small tractor sized back hoe break the pins and hydraulics trying to dig them up.

Pay someone with a stump grinder to come do it. Will be the best $ you ever spend.

I'm here to save you shot tons of money.

About 10 years ago I had 65 pine trees cut from my property. The guy that did it was supposed to grind the stumps but was shady and bailed on me.

Your answer is charcoal. Regular charcoal.

Pile them on the stumps and light them. Make sure it is not gonna rain for at least 5 days and don't touch them. I cleared stumps as big as 90 inches around doing this over a couple of years. I don't know how but it even cooks down into the root system.

Just don't do it around any stumps that are near underground utility lines.
