Now that I think about it, when I was engaged my former wife and I won a honeymoon off of a cake draw after I won tickets for doing some dance contest.
We never went on it because the only times that were available were in the dead of the Montana winter and we had to supply the airfare.

I've won door prizes at meetings. The best was a year's subscription to a professional journal that I couldn't afford on my own because I was a student.

A few years ago, Rouses and 7up had a drawing to be one of 7 people to have a chance to win a Smart Car. Mom was chosen. The 7 finalists were brought out to Half Court at a Hornets game. They had to reach into a bag and pull a number 1-7 to determine which order they would get to pick a key that opened a Locked chest. If your key opened the chest, you won the car. Mom got 5. Which meant 4 people each picked one of 7 keys before her turn. All of them pick the wrong keys. Mom grabs one, and sure enough it unlocks the trunk and she wins the car. Whole thing was on the jumbo tron.
