What's going on with the LA Dept of Revenue?

I sent those stupid frickers a check two weeks ago to provide for those less fortunate, and the indigent.
The check hasn't cleared, and it hasn't been returned. I call their number only to be told by some computer that they can't process any calls due to the volume coming in. (the computer sounds like a nerd a-hole too)
What's going on in BR? You frickers waiting on refunds your dumbasses may not see until 2018.

I paid electronically on 4/15/2016. They gladly and easily accepted my money.

My guess is not a whole lot going on at all. Frick those people. Had to scratch and claw tooth and nail for 60+ days just to get a damn resale certificate.

And my refund is only for a few hundred. Nothing significant, reason why I'm more laughing about the situation.

I overheard someone talking about this (the clusterfrick that is the LA Dept of Rev) yesterday. The state should be waiting by the mailbox for every nickel that comes in since they have no money, but no telling what's going on.

You have until a month after the Federal deadline to file state taxes.

They're delaying receipt of moneys so they can show a larger state deficit for John Bel to justify his threat to cut TOPS. If they actually collected all of the money and showed where the state really is, it would reveal that there is no need for another special session, TOPS would not be on the chopping block for the fall semester, and the legislature could wait until September to mull whether or not to cut TOPS for the Spring Semester or cut something else.
