I listen to the Blues when cooking. BBQ is best with a beer in one hand and some good blues playing in the background.

This. If I listen to music while cooking, I get gasps because she can’t watch tv. If I’m by myself and she walks in while I’m listening to music, same thing. She wonders why I just stay in my man cave!

Most often, jazz.
90.3 does Rhythm and Blues Saturday, and they do Classic Jazz Sunday. Those are usually my long recipe days anyway so I do that. If the music gets weird, switch to the San Diego area jazz station (it’s very good).
I also sometimes do the Jazzy Dinner playlist on Spotify.
When I’m not in the mood for my jazz, I vary. Lately been doing “Feel Good Dinner” playlist on Spotify, but also enjoy “Uplifting Soul Classics” and “Dinner Music Sinatra Style”.
