thats a lab

the white from the paws, is usually from their lines of being labs. there is a golden some where down the bloodline.

a lot of times they will have a white stripe down their chest. some smaller, some larger white stripes

greatest dogs u can get. we got lucky, our choco lab is mixed with aussie Sheppard, so we got the best of both dogs.

I love my rescue dog more than most humans I know outside of immediate family.

Those ears indicate a mix, but he is a puppy, so perhaps not. Looks a lot like my dog, who was also underfed until I got him. He is the single greatest dog on the planet and I will fight you if you say otherwise.

If you decide not to keep him, hit me up. I'll take care of him.

ETA: And you can send the previous owner my way, I'll take care of him too

Except for less white flashing, your dog looks almost exactly like my Layla, a Lab/Retreiver mix, when we first found her as a pup wandering the highway. It's kind of hard to tell for certain when they're that young. She is very fast, very smart and high energy. Keep the dog. You won't be sorry, it will love you unconditionally to its last breath. Here's mine, now about six or seven.

Not the high energy pose.

Head is too wide and muzzle too stout to be a lab.

He is,not malnourished. Puopies that old are gangly.

The only way to know if a dog is purebred is to look at the pedigree.

Wrong. The link is to Amazon dog DNA kits. About $70.

ETA- If the owner shows up don't kick his arse. Roll up a newspaper and swat him on the nose until flat.

Update: I got the puppy yesterday. He looks much better from a week of eating. He is so clumsy and awkward when he walks, eats, or pretty much does anything. He is very calm and takes direction very well for a young pup. He has only barked one time when my moms Maltese came at him aggressively. Left him home alone for a bit outside the crate and he didn't tear into anything and had no accidents. The dog is a champ.

Looking great, keep up the good work. The chewing will come, so be prepared. Looks like you have a nice yard for the pup to exercise in.

Nothing Pit about him. That's a pure lab. Good find.
