you don't think there are some inbreds out in the farthest outskirts of Lafourche & Terrebonne then you're simply in denial. I saw a guy come out of the woods in Dulac that looked like half-man, half-wolf. He had sprouts of hair coming out of his forehead and whiskers coming out of his cheeks, and his eyes were solid black with no whites. Had 6 toes on each foot. Dude looked like a government science experiment gone wrong. I've seen women out there with more facial hair than me.
sounds like a rougareau (sp?)

Memphis, TN and Yazoo City, MS.

Heard stories of a family of inbred blacks years ago around Ft. Adams, MS. Supposedly they didn't have sweat glands and had to wallow in mud to cool off like hogs.

There's a town in Cornwall, England called St. Just. It's like Deliverance with worse dentition.

Would have to be a town in West Virginia, hard to decide which one. There is a long list of contenders there.
West Virginia is a beautiful state, but damn, you sure see a lot of misery there.

Has Colorado City, AZ been mentioned yet?
Cause if it hasn't...it needs to be. I've never been here but have taken care of many kids from here. The children literally are inbred. It's a polygamist Mormon town with a VERY shallow gene pool. So bad that many of the kids I care for have obvious genetic syndromes that are likely from inbreeding. The entire family in prairie clothes and several "aunts" always come visit/stay with the child while they are in the hospital.

Any city north of Massachusetts. Bunch of weird looking people up there in the Northeast.

Welcome to Omps, West Virginia. (pronounced like "oops" with an "m" in it).
Omps is unincorporated now... but my Dad told me it used to have a "family run" grocery, gas station and post office - Every generation stranger looking than the last. Apparently my Grandad used to deliver fuel to the gas station. Grandad told my father "They don't get out much."
ETA:
This used to be it but they removed the pumps.
Omps ancestral home across the street.

ETA: I grew up near-by (outside the also nominated Beckley, WV) and even to me and my friends growing up in "normal" small-town southern WV, Odd was like a different planet. Though to be honest, you could pick almost any area at random in the southern half of WV and be correct.
And to whoever nominated Beckley, I would like to hear your experience before throwing out a "bullshite" - Beckley, while not an affluent area by any stretch, has plenty of normal neighborhoods. Of course, if you happened to visit the Beckley Walmart then I absolutely understand why it would be your choice - whoever came up with the idea for the "people of Walmart" website must have had his epiphany as he walked out of the one in Beckley one random Friday night.
