When someone complains about something and says "thanks for coming to my TED talk" when their rant wasn't anything educational or informative.

Just call it being horny.
Sure seems like horny would have been one of those trendy words back in the day used to replace something like “frisky” which was probably used by older generations.
Now I’m wondering how much of our current preferred grammar is going to sound like old people lingo to the next generation.

I don’t like it when the kids say “that’s fair” as a form of agreement or understanding. I don’t need your approval.

It irrational irritates me when someone says an album or new product has been “dropped”.
No dumbass, it’s been released.
It also irritates me when an internet article says that so and so “broke the internet “ or “stopped the internet”.
Then you get the idiots that say the “internet is in an uproar or the world is offended” about so and so when it’s actually 2 idiots on Twitter that got their panties in a wad and commented about it.

It's extremely irritating, not only because it's yet another faux ghetto-ism, but also because of the ambiguity around attaching another meaning to the word "drop." Creates a potential raise vs. raze problem, in this case without even a spelling difference.

That's my quarrel with a lot of the crap we're allowing into the English language lately. It doesn't add power, meaning, or nuance, it subtracts these things. Singular "they" is another example.
"They told their kids to take the candy out of their pockets or else it would cause them trouble"- who the frick are we talking about here?

Conversate.
On accident instead of by accident, but I’m trying to let it go.

I think the one I hate the most right now is bro. It’s been around forever, but the new trend is to completely over use it in a conversation.
What’s up brooo?
Not shite brooo! You good bro?
Brooo, let me tell you bro. Life is good bro.
That’s wattsup bro!
Ohhh broo did you hear about do and so?
No way broo! That’s fricking wild broo!

“And just like that, we have a ________!”
Mostly used by millennial parents to note some routine milestone of their child.
