A while back there was a guy on a different forum selling his 1977 Mongoose. He said he is the original owner. Asking $675

Mongoose back before they were Wal-Mart and when you had to get them at specialty bike shops. Broke my heart when the cheap line became prominent.

Me, too. Before I got my Supergoose, my best friend got a black Mongoose ('80 model) with Motomags. He wound up getting a GT and raced for team GT for a couple of years. Those old Cromolly frames were awesome.

Specialized 10 speed. Red and black. It was a bad arse bike, but I didn't appreciate it.

BTW...any of you guys remember Vector bikes? They were made in Knoxville and we had a shite-ton of them where I grew up.
